I strive to create spaces that are functional, pretty, and bring joy. When I look at spaces in our home, I envision the moments we'll share eating dinner at the dining room table, the Christmas' spent in the sitting room, and conversations we'll have around the fireplace. While creating memories with my people can be done in any ole space, why not have it be pretty?” My overall interior design style is a little bit transitional and part bohemian. I kind of have an 'anything goes as long as I love it' approach while combining tradition and modern to create a space that’s not 'too much' in terms of one style or another.
The goal with creating this look: comfort, function, and pops of color!
The weather in Arizona calls for a useful outdoor living space. This summer, we embarked on a backyard refresh and transformed it from blah to beautiful. Our new design features an outdoor bar and grill, dining area, and fireplace.
The seating area space by the fireplace is a bit tricky. It's not small but its not big either. I was on the hunt for the perfect size of sofa to make all of my dreams of a cozy and comfortable area come true. While shopping AFW I came across the Peckham park 4 piece sectional. I could not believe how perfect it fits in our space. I love the comfort, color, and style. I styled it with throw pillows and an outdoor blanket for a pop of color.
The sun sets behind our fireplace and if you didn't already know, they're pretty magical here in Arizona. I'm already dreaming about all of the memories we'll be making in this space and around this sofa. I can see tickle fights with the kids, catching up with my husband after a long day, and entertaining friends right here. AFW, in a way, has become a part of the family.
